Why is it that, if an atheist portrays himself as very much smarter than the average member of the faith community, they’re considered enlightened, whereas if the average member of the faith community portrays himself as more intelligent, they’re labelled arrogant, even if rightly so?
I’m not saying that we religious have the right to call ourselves better-than-thou, but I get really tired of those who would convince us of their oppinion that we’re wasting our time with faith being given the pass on such seemingly insignificant matters as basic politeness.
